Profitable betting: Treat your betting like a business

I've just posted the latest in my series of articles on betting and sensible money management over at ReddRacing.co.uk

Sensible money management

The article discusses how to put more profit on your bottom line by approaching your betting activities in a business-like fashion.

If you were running your own business, you would treat it as a business and not a hobby. You would get to your desk on time each morning. As well as doing the things you enjoy about your business, you would attend to all the mundane tasks necessary for things to run smoothly.

If you want to see your betting bank grow steadily, then take a few minutes to read the whole article now:

Henry San and She's Humble combine for 20/1 double at Plumpton

Two selections were given out to Redd Racing members today, and if you had put them together in a double you would have increased your stake twenty-fold. By all accounts, several of you did just that, so congratulations are in order.

Al Ferof - Cheltenham 13/11/2011

At odds of 5/2 today's daily nap Henry San was the first leg of the double, coming home in the first race of the day at Plumpton, a two-mile novices hurdle. She's Humble was a ProSelect horse, and overturned the odds-on favourite later in the afternoon, in the handicap chase, at value odds of 5/1

Calgary Bay back on track after win in the VictorChandler Chase

Calgary Bay came good on the promise he showed as a novice when he won the VictorChandler.com Handicap Chase on New Years Day.

He also provided Redd Racing VIP Betting Club members with a great start to the new year, returned at odds of 8/1

Calgary Bay Cheltenham 01/01/2012

Calgary Bay hasn't been in the winners enclosure since December 2009, and this was a welcome winner for trainer Henrietta Knight.

Now nine, Calgary Bay has struggled to live up to the promise he showed as a novice when he won a Grade 2, but the 8-1 shot was always travelling particularly well and jumped to the front two fences from hometo provide his trainer with only her fourth winner of the season.

Read the full race report at the Racing Post web site.

These were the other races covered by the VIP Betting Club over the weekend:

  • Challow Novices Hurdle, Fingal Bay WON at 1/4
  • Dipper Novices Chase, Solix 2nd at 5/1
  • VictorChandler Chase, Calgary Bay WON at 8/1

So with two wins from three selections VIP members couldn't be much happier as January gets underway.
