Signing off for 2007

A profitable day to bring the curtain down on our most profitable year since starting the Redd Racing service. I had four back-to-win bets and saw two of these come home in front. Bobby Gee won at Uttoxeter and within the hour Beat The Boys completed my brace of winners at Warwick. Beat The Boys has shown good improvement this autumn, and was a very close runner-up in a handicap event at Exeter about a month ago. I thought he was good value to win this afternoon at better than 10/3 His price touched 7/2 shortly before the start, and stayed well to win. 6 points profit for the day.

I could not find any good opportunities to lay horses today, so nothing to report on this account.

The introduction of back-to-win selections at the beginning of this year has proved a profitable additional income stream to my service, and we have amassed well over 500 points profit in total, our best yet! My newsletter will be published early in January, with a full set of detailed results for December. If you subscribe to my newsletter then keep an eye on your Inbox.

It only remains for me to wish everybody a Happy New Year. I would like to thank everybody for their continued support - I regularly receive very kind words of encouragement from members, and I would just like to acknowledge my members publicly here. Thank you.

I also extend a warm welcome to all newly-registered members, and I promise to continue in my efforts to help you all achieve profits from horse racing in 2008. Remain disciplined, operate a sensibly-sized betting bank, only bet when you have value odds in your favour, and you will never go far wrong. I will simply do my bit to pick some good horses. Cheers!

Intersky Music out of tune

I drew a blank this afternoon and scuppered 4 points with 4 losing bets. Intersky Music was contesting a weak handicap hurdle at Bangor, and one of these days he will claim a race such as this. But yet again he found one horse too good, and this time an improving sort put up 12lbs since his last run.

I couldn't find any obviously over-bet horses to lay, and so nothing to report on this account.

Tuesday horse racing summary

Another relatively low-key day's action, with only 3 win bets. Divex was my only winner, but matched at 11/4 it meant we still finished the day with a small profit.

Divex was competing in a weak maiden chase at Catterick, having failed to score a win over fences so far, albeit at a higher level. The drop back in class was an obvious opportunity to get off the mark, and I set a value price at 11/4 or better.

I wanted to oppose Dicey Dancer, but the horse was not favoured by the market, and I couldn't get matched at a low enough price to warrant a lay bet.

Monday horse racing summary

It's safe to say we are now in the Winter period when meetings are constantly at risk of abandonement. Today Ayr was called off, and consequently I was left with just 2 bets at the all-weather meeting at Wolverhampton.

Ai Hawa was racing off the back of a recent win in handicap company, and I thought anything over 10/3 would be a value price for him to notch up a double. But it wasn't to be.

I wanted to oppose Just Mossie in the Seller but the price of 7/2 never materialised, and although the horse was duly beaten, it goes down as a 'no bet'.

Sunday horse racing summary

With just the one meeting going ahead today in the UK, it was understandably a quiet day in terms of betting action. In fact I managed to venture out and get in a bit of Christmas shopping. The second of my 2 bets Atlantic Story was a winner, and rounded off an extremely profitable week which added nearly 28 points profit to the bottom line.

To summarize the past week's results: On the back-to-win account, we had 30 bets and saw 9 winners return a profit of just under 18 points. There was much less going on with the lay-to-lose account, and only 4 bets undertaken. But all four were successful, and returned 10 points profit.

Profit for the week: Win Bets 17.5pts, Lay Bets 10pts

Tuesday horse racing summary

The back-to-win account took a massive nose-dive this afternoon, with a galling 8 bets all going down.

I managed to claw nearly half of this back with a successful lay against Souriceau in a class 4 novice hurdle at Fontwell. He recently failed to score in a maiden race, and I saw no reason to believe he justified the price of even money to win today in novice company. He finished nearly 20 lengths down on the winner in fourth place, to give me a welcome 3 points profit.

Music Box Express leads them all a merry dance

A very good day at the office today, with five bets producing three winners, two runners-up and more than 6 points profit. Music Box Express clearly took to the artificial surface at Wolverhampton on his last outing, and finished just a half-length off the winner that time. A little improvement was all that was needed to win today, and I thought anything above 9/4 would be good value. 3/1 was widely available leading up to the start before he was backed in to a starting price of 9/4

My only lay bet was also successful, as I turned over April San at Hereford.

The Value Horse Method

If you have been a member of my service for any length of time, or perhaps you've read a few of my articles on my web site, one thing I sincerely hope you recognise is that I bet only when I believe I am getting value for money. Betting for value, and with the odds in your favour, is the only sure way to make a long-term profit from gambling.

Today I want to introduce you to the Value Horse Method which will show you how to uncover the 'value' bet in any race-card.

Have you ever thought how satisfying it would be to have a method of selecting horses that consistently produces profit, month after month? How good would it feel to know that the odds compilers are powerless to protect themselves from your selections? If you want to make that dream become a reality you need to read about the patented "Value Horse Method". This low-risk betting method is not only unique, it is also bullet-proof and market-resistant.

If you are new to betting on UK horse racing the "Value Horse Method" is the best way of consistently finding value bets and profiting by punting on horse races. Or you may be like me, a serious punter who either earns their living from betting, or at least generates a substantial second income from UK horse racing, then the "Value Horse Method" will become the main weapon in your betting armoury. I first learnt of this method a couple years back, and its teachings are still the cornerstone of my betting strategy.

If you were offered odds of 100/1 on it snowing next Christmas would you take the bet? If you would, you could class yourself as a "value bettor". You INVEST your money rather than GAMBLE as probability is on your side. If you took the same bet for the next 100 years, in all probability, you would make a healthy profit.

I have made a living from betting for more than 10 years, not from betting on snow at Xmas but by finding "value horses". On an average day I will often find more than five horses that represent excellent value because the odds that are being offered are far higher than they should be, given the probability that the horse will win.

In the book "The Value Horse Method" you will discover exactly how to find these horses and how to make betting on them into a low risk, high reward method of betting.

If you are following my advice on a daily basis, this book will give you a unique insight into how I find horses worthy of putting up as a bet. If you prefer not to rely on professional tipsters, and are much happier when you can pick horses yourself, then this guide will pay for itself many times over.

The true spirit of competition can still be found in horse racing

Found this article today which not only highlights the utter dedication of some of our horse racing jockeys, but also brought to my attention the sheer gruelling routine many of the journeymen jockeys put themselves through:
