Thursday horse racing summary

I ended up with a small loss to the account today, with just two successful bets. Knavesmire started our month well enough, with a win at Redcar. But my remaining three bets all lost to wipe out my profit.

I had two lay bets, and first Maimoona scooted in to justify a short price. But then early evening I was against Fairyland at Huntingdon. This was to be only the horse's second run over hurdles, and with only one win in her career so far, I felt a price of even money to win today was far too short. To be fair she finished second to a surprise horse, but second still means the backers had to pay up, and I got a point profit back.

A loss of around half a point overall.
