Thursday horse racing summary

Drew a complete blank today, with two win bets losing, and my lay bet winning by a neck! Don't you just hate it when it happens that way around?

The form of Gulf Express has been erratic this summer - winning a class 3 handicap last time out, but failing in a class 4 previously. Racing off his highest-ever mark of 92 in a class 2 event, I was hoping today would be an 'off' day, or at the very least not his career-best performance! Unfortunately he decided to have a good day, but at 5/4 it wasn't that expensive for me.
