Royal Rocked

A poor set of results from my win bets resulted in a loss overall of 2 points today. All four of my win bets lost, with only Brassini even making the frame.

I was successful however, in laying the favourite for the class 2 handicap at Newmarket, Royal Rock. Following two recent wins, he was stepping up in class today, and shouldering a whopping 11lbs extra since his last outing. I felt the task of winning today was beyond him and I went against him for 2 points. When Royal Rock failed to make an impression on the race these were 2 welcome points profit, halving the loss for the day.
