Folk Tune hits a bum note

A disappointing performance from my only qualifying bet today Folk Tune this evening at Sedgefield. I had received confident information from the Ferdy Murphy yard that Folk Tune was to go well today. He has returned some pretty average performances of late, but at the best of his form this type of race is within his compass at these weights, so I was prepared to invest in his ability at 6/1 or better.

The horse was clearly fancied and the price tumbled to 11/4 before the off. But weight of money behind a horse is never a guarantee, and clearly I would not have been the only person tearing up my proverbial ticket in dismay.
