Monday horse racing summary

Two horses finishing second, including one by just a nose, didn't change the fact that the account suffered three losing bets this afternoon. Doubtful Sound was running in a class 6 seller at Leicester, and this type of race was well within his compass having won several times at this level and above. I judged a value price to be 2/1 and when we could get matched at 3/1 or better then I was very happy to put my money down. As ever, value means nothing until your horse wins and this time the difference between losing and collecting was but a few inches, the length of a horse's nose.
