Wednesday horse racing summary

A profitable, if relatively quiet day. I had two selections qualify as bets. First, Heaven Sent came in second in the Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot. Then a little later in the afternoon it was at Worcester that Black Anshan was competing in a maiden hurdle. He is a different horse compared to last year, and shaped well in another maiden hurdle recently, finishing runner up. Today's race was not much in terms of quality, and nothing else on the card appealed. I felt any price of around 6/4 would be worth snapping up, but as it happens the horse was weaker in the market, and we got prices of 2/1 and upwards. Terrific value for a win in the end.

With no lay bets to report, a small profit on the day of around 1 point.
