Chaff turns the tables on wheat

Another extremely profitable day, which makes around 30 points profit returned in the last four days alone!! This may be something of a purple patch, and I do not want new members getting the impression we make this kind of profit EVERY day. Let's enjoy the moment, but let's not get carried away. But I think the last few days clearly demonstrate how it is important to remain disciplined, focused, not panic, and have confidence that your methods work. As long as your winning streaks eclipse your losing runs then you have a wealth-making business on your hands.

I had three win bets this afternoon, and two returned home in front, including Chiff Chaff at Yarmouth. I had narrowed this stayers handicap down to three runners, and as it happens they were the first three home. The obvious choice was the favourite, but these three horses realistically should have each been around the 3/1 mark. At odds-on That Look was priced ridiculously. But at 10/1, and with a claiming jockey taking weight off over such a long distance, Chiff Chaff represented incredible value in my opinion. I struck gold today, and run the race again and we might not be so lucky. But at these prices you only need to be right a couple of times to make a great deal of money, and that is what betting with value is all about.

Both my lay bets also lost, to add a further 3 points profit to the mix. More than 14 points profit for a days work ....if you can call it work.

Profit so far this month: 32.5 pts
