Wednesday horse racing summary and weekly results

In the end a very quiet day, with only one bet reaching my advised value price. Disappointingly this still failed to win, so the account drops a point on the day.

My sole lay bet of the day was Make My Dream running at Sandown this evening. He was following up a win at Windsor last week, and I thought the market would plunge for him. There were several other good horses with equal chances of winning, including the horse from the Moore yard which went on to win, and I was looking to lay bets at 7/2 or lower. This morning Make My Dream was at the top of the market at 4/1, but by the off the market instead saw the Moore horse as favourite and consequently the price on my choice drifted and was never short enough to risk a lay bet. Shame as he could only manage a third place.

Results from the last 7 days

Only three days to report this week, after the service returned on Monday. I enjoyed a fabulous three weeks in southern Spain with the family. Our three boys absolutely adore our villa, spending most of each day in and around the pool. This year they were surprised by the arrival in the last week by their cousins - and their aunt and uncle, my brother and his lovely wife. Great weather, great food and drink, and great company.

Fully recharged I have yet however, to spark with any good results. Only one winner from eleven win bets this week, with a couple of points gained with a successful lay bet. I need to get my head back in gear if we are to get our nose in front before the end of the month.

Weekly profit results: Win Bets 7.5pts loss, Lay Bets 2pts

Total profit so far this month: 5.5 pts loss
