Thursday horse racing summary

A little over a point and a half profit on the day, and a satisfactory day's work. I proposed five Win bets, four of these reached my suggested value price, and two of them won their race. Mr Hichens had been dropped in class to contest a very mediocre maiden race, and I had received word from the Brian Meehan camp that he was ready to take his first win. Word obviously went around as the 2/1 available about him during the morning evaporated and he was returned the even money favourite. He won convincingly.
