August Newsletter

Welcome to the latest edition of my Newsletter. The main purpose of the monthly Newsletter is to summarize the results of the previous month, and to give you a "heads up" on any exciting news or events to come in the next few weeks.

The Flat season is drawing to a close, and during the month of September we can look forward to the final Classic of the season with the St Leger at Doncaster. As last year, September also signals that it's time for my annual Readers Poll. This is where you the readers can vote for your favourite horse racing products, services, and web sites. I shall be sending out a survey in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, here is the news....

In this month's issue:

  • Results for August
  • Interview with Neil Gray from WhatToLay.com
  • Preview of TrainerTrackStats 2008/9
  • Discover the VIP Betting Club
  • More horse racing articles
  • How you can earn money telling people about my web site

August Results
A solid, if not inspiring performance, from both the Win Bets and the Lay Bets. The Win Bets were still lacking in the strike rate department, with a meagre 26 winners from 105 bets.

Profits for the Lay bets reached almost twenty points before tailing off towards the end of the month. However, they still returned an acceptable profit overall.

Back-to-Win Selections:

Profit : 9.87 points
Profit to £50 stakes : £493
Profit so far this year : £6,890
Strike rate : 25%
Return on Investment : 109%
Longest winning run : 4
Longest losing run : 13

Lay Bets:

Profit : 8.11 points
Profit to £50 stakes : £405
Strike rate : 77%
Profit so far this year : £3,710

Preview of TrainerTrackStats 2008/9
If it's September it means there is a new version of TrainerTrackStats, and this year is no different! If you are not familiar with TrainerTrackStats it is pretty much universally accepted as the best researched guide to trainer performance for the National Hunt season. It is updated every year by the authors Matt Bisogno and Gavin Priestley. The guide is probably the most consistent source of winners throughout the winter. This year the boys are practically giving away the manual (it will cost you just £1 until Friday 5th September) to give as many people as possible the opportunity to sample the subscription service for 30 days. There are also some great videos on their web site which go 'behind the scenes' of the guide. If TrainerTrackStats is new to you, I recommend you visit straight away to see what all the fuss is about.

Have You Heard About The VIP Betting Club?
You may have tried my daily racing service recently, and perhaps you decided against joining. Did you find a daily service was impractical and un-workable during the week? Do you prefer a smaller number of targetted, highly selective bets? Well I have some great news just for you!

I want to tell you about a professional betting service, which gives out only around 4-6 well-researched bets each month -- it's called my VIP Betting Club.

I often receive feedback from people who prefer to bet mostly at the week-ends, and to invest in a reliable source of laser-targetted professional bets. Which is just one of the reasons I introduced the 'VIP Betting Club' service for the discerning racing punter.
I'm giving you the opportunity to sample this exciting service completely free of charge, so you can see for yourself exactly how good my information is.

I am more than happy to give you an appetizer, and it will cost you nothing to receive the next VIP selection. Visit the Club webpage at www.reddracing.co.uk/vip to read about some of the winning selections members have celebrated this year.

....and finally
A young jockey and his stable lass girlfriend make the decision to get married. Everything is planned and the couple intend to honeymoon in Italy for a week. The marriage goes without a hitch and the couple set off on their honeymoon. While checking in at the hotel the lady behind the desk asks "We have two suites available for you sir, would you like the bridal?"

"No thanks" says the jockey "I'll just hold her ears till she gets the hang of it!"
