Grand Show fails to perform

Another day's betting with nothing to show but a small loss. My only qualifying win bet was Pauls Plain who ran a disappointing race to finish 3rd at a short price of 5/4

I had two lay bets, and the first was another Godolphin debutant Calming Influence. I find when a horse from a big training operation such as Godolphin is well-touted they are very often over-bet, and therefore good value for us to bet against. However, aided by Frankie Dettori, they are having a run of success with their novices and I am paying for it. I went against Grand Show at Lingfield and managed to scrape a point back when this one failed to win, but it is turning out to be a difficult week overall.
