Just what the Doctor ordered

A small profit from my back-to-win selections today, with one winner in Kiwi Bay at a value price of 7/4 on the betting exchanges.

A stonking day from my lay-to-lose selections, with 13 points profit returned from just two bets. I had a big bet against Doctor Fremantle in the maiden at Salisbury. How anyone would want to accept odds as short as 1/3 about a horse having only its second run, having already failed to win a similar event on its debut, I will never know! I would lay these kind of crazy bets all day, every day. Getting matched at 2/5 I was able to increase my stake to 10 points, and still only risk the 4 points I advised, should the horse win. He finished in runner-up spot and just like all the bookmakers on course at Salisbury I was wringing my hands with glee. I also successfully layed another race favourite Make Haste for 3 points.

Thanks largely to landing these two lay bets, I was nearly 14 points better off come the end of the afternoon.
