Sunday horse racing summary and weekly results

I scored a couple of Lay bets this afternoon, but 2 points profit only made a slight dent in the overall losses for this past week. I shall not be happy until I see a return to form in finding winning horses at good prices.

Pearl Dealer was having only his second outing after winning a class 5 maiden. Today he was in handicap company, and taking a step up in class. There was also the question of whether he would handle soft going. The morning favourite, his price drifted, but you could have bet against him at 7/2 in the morning. The question about whether he would like soft going was answered when he came in last.

This week the Win Bets lost the best part of 7 points in total, with a paltry 2 winners from 14 bets. I would be stretching the truth to say the Lay Bets did anything better than break even, with 5 successful bets from 8 selections.

Profit for the week: Win Bets 7pts loss, Lay Bets 0pts
