However, I suffered an unsuccessful lay bet against Squadron in the maiden handicap at Goodwood this evening. He was running off his highest mark to date, and with no winning form, I felt comfortable to lay bets if I could get matched at 5/2. He remains a progressive young horse, and stayed on well to win by a neck.
