Distant Sun shines for me

The blessed rain continues to play havoc on the racing program, and so I concentrated on the all-weather meeting at Wolverhampton. I could see no value opportunities to lay horses, but I did spot just the one win bet - Distant Sun in a 6f handicap. Sitting on a mark of 74 for three consecutive races it was just a matter of when Distant Sun would win at this level. The fact that his trainer had travelled a long distance to Wolverhampton to race just the one horse was an extremely positive sign, and the clincher for me. He was the first to hit the finish line at a tasty price of 14/1 with 16/1 freely available on the exchanges.
