Thursday horse racing summary

A good return from both accounts today, and three winning bets from four. Art Man and Hucking Hero won their respective races, and Mighty Matters was a warm favourite successfully overturned.

Mighty Matters was competing in a class 3 handicap chase at Fontwell. He had never won at this level, and was up 11lbs since his last win. To win this afternoon would require a career-best performance and I felt 11/4 would be a good value price to start laying bets against him. During live betting he was available at 5/2 before easing out to 11/4 and I went against him for 3 points. He was pulled up.

A fraction under 6 points profit to bring home overall.
