Three Ships adrift

A small loss of a point to the account overall today. My win bets had another poor showing, with a further four losing bets. But I was able to re-coup three points with a successful lay bet.

Three Ships was running in a handicap hurdle at Folkestone. Following a win in a class 5 event, this afternoon he was stepping up in class and shouldering an extra 7lbs. For these reasons I thought he was a value bet to lay at 13/8 or below. During live betting he was backed in to 6/4 before easing out to 7/4F and I layed bets for 3 points. From a prominent position he faded to third towards the end of the race.

A loss of a single point at the end of the day.
