Friday horse racing summary

My four win bets all went begging this afternoon, although I did manage to snatch a couple of points back by successfully laying Pride of Dulcote at Newbury. This was to be only his second race, after finishing close up in a bumper on his race course debut. Today he would not only be jumping obstacles for the first time in public, but also stepping up in class and this time venturing out onto soft ground. He was the morning favourite, the price artificially low doubtless because of the trainer/jockey combination. I went against him for 2 points, and sure enough he wasn't jumping fluently when he unshipped Ruby Walsh.
